Job SummaryAs a Manufacturing JET Student, you will be trained in installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, metals and composite parts. This work-based learning program will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to the general aviation manufacturing environment. It will aid your learning experiences and enhance your aviation knowledge as a student interested in manufacturing and aviation careers. You will get exposure to a wide variety of real-world work situations and applications. You will play an integral role creating and constructing the worlds best-selling general aviation aircraft.This work based-learning program will start January 2026Job Duties: (vary depending on location of work-based learning)<ul><li>Inspecting and installing aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts.</li><li>Following engineering drawings and specifications to install, connect, or bond aircraft parts using adhesives, rivets, or threaded fasteners.</li><li>Ensures fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance complies with design requirements.</li><li>Preparing and using fixtures to aid in locating, bonding, or drilling aircraft parts.</li><li>Routing wire harnesses in accordance with specifications.</li><li>Work with adhesives, bonding aircraft parts</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Current High School junior or senior</li><li>Have completed a minimum of 2 manufacturing and/or aviation-based courses</li><li>Mechanically inclined background is preferred, but not required.</li><li>Must be able to follow and complete work instructions properly.</li><li>Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment.</li><li>Must be able to lift varying weight repeatedly.</li></ul>Additional Requirements:<ul><li>Students will work 10-12 hours/ week on 2-3 days/ week</li><li>Must be able to work in the AM.</li><li>Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.</li><li>Must be on track to graduate.</li><li>Must be at least 16 years old at the date of hire.</li></ul>Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, and candidates must be 21 years or older. While no prior experience is necessary, a keen interest in pursuing a CDL A license and a delivery driver career is highly encouraged.You should be able to pass the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) standards to meet our hiring and insurability criteria. Strong comprehension of basic warehouse and delivery operations will set you up for success. Physical agility is key; you'll frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction during deliveries. While maneuvering a loaded two-wheel cart down ramps, your ability to maintain balance and coordination will be vital.
