Key Responsibilities:<ul style="margin-bottom:11px"><li style="margin-left:8px">Assists with cleaning, transforming, and validating raw data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for analysis or storage</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Supports the development, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data pipelines and processes to ensure successful task completion</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Builds data models in our data warehouse using dbt</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Builds dashboards in Power BI to support business intelligence</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Creates and maintains documentation for data processes, solutions, and issues, improving team knowledge-sharing and transparency</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Collaborates with data engineers and analysts on ongoing projects, actively participating in team meetings and contributing to assigned tasks</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Supports testing, debugging, and issue resolution for data processes and scripts, documenting problems, and applying fixes</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Proactively engages in learning new tools, technologies, and data engineering concepts to develop technical skills and contribute effectively</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Must be a Utah State University student pursuing a degree in data engineering, data analytics, information systems, or a related field with a minimum of 1 year remaining in school</li><li>Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summers</li><li>Basic understanding of software development concepts, including scripting skills</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent communication and teamwork abilities</li><li>Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies</li><li>Must be U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. person</li></ul> Student Scholar Program: SDL provides unique opportunities for student employees to develop real-world experience and knowledge beyond the classroom through our Student Scholar Program. The successful candidate will be punctual, helpful, and a collaborative worker. Duties primarily involve moving of items, loading and unloading, and assembling or placing items as needed. The successful candidate must feel comfortable with driving a large truck and know how to interact professionally with customers. All of our staff members are expected to use extreme care when handling items and take pride in doing so.
