Duties here will include pharmacokinetic dosing of antibiotics, dosing of warfarin, full medication profile reviews, patient counseling, renal dosing of medications, high risk medication assessments, pain regimen monitoring, post-fall reviews, anticoagulation therapy management, diabetes monitoring, discussing patient specific therapy with nurses/providers/patients, and participation with the nutrition support team in dosing of TPN's. Technician work includes preparation and packaging of unit dose medications (oral, injectable, topical, rectal, inhaled, ophthalmic, otic), delivering medications to nursing units, restocking satellite med stations (pyxis), medication reconciliation interviews, and triaging phone calls.
