This clinical experience allows you to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world hospital setting of your choice.</div><div>Our hands-on externships are designed for clinical-year students at AVMA-accredited schools, typically in their 3rd or 4th year. You will share your goals at the start of your rotation and be quickly integrated into the team through participating in case discussions, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on patient care in GP, ER, and specialty settings.</div><div>With opportunities across a wide variety of partner hospitals, you will gain diverse experience, mentorship, and confidence in your clinical skills. Our hospitals are state-of-the-art outpatient care facilities where we do surgery, dentistry, and a number of other procedures.  Our vets are enthusiastic about bringing a compassionate, full-service experience to their patients in the comforts of their own home. HousePaws veterinarians are highly skilled and enjoy a high volume of diverse cases. Our case load includes individualized preventative health care, sick and emergency care, as well as surgical and dental care for veterinarians with interest and skills in hospital procedures.  Working with our mobile practice is unlike the traditional hospital-based job. No day is the same as the day before and each day will have challenges and surprises that will keep you on your toes.
