The PrePress and Print Production Contractor works closely with the Design Director and the editorial team to ensure the accurate and timely production of the print editions of California magazine, published by the Cal Alumni Association. The Contractor also works with Cal Alumni Association’s marketing and business development departments to check and upload all partnership ads, in-house ads, and in-house content for inclusion in the magazine.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Production Planning or Materials role within a High‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing environment, with demonstrated support of both New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining production. Monitor and manage material shortages, lead shortage review meetings with the Procurement team, and proactively identify critical part shortages that could impact production or shipment schedules.
Youll work closely with the Senior Production Designer, designers, packaging partners, print vendors, and manufacturing teams to bring packaging to life, including hands-on involvement in pilots and press-adjacent workflows. You are comfortable working inside complex production files, catching small inconsistencies before they become expensive production issues, and managing multiple versions of similar artwork without losing track of details.
