Supervises security officers. <strong>Must be available to work any shift and day of the week due to a 24/7 operation.</strong></div><br/><br/><div><strong>Brief Description of Duties </strong></div><div><div><ul><li>Responsible for overseeing the safety and security of the Center to include supervision over security officers and substitutes during the shift.</li><li>Ensures the enforcement of all laws, rules, and policies within his/her scope of authority.</li><li>Ensures the safety, health, and security of students, staff, and property.</li><li>Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.</li><li>Conducts foot patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violations, suspicious and/or persons and other unusual conditions.</li><li>Administers rules and procedures regulating the entry, exit, and conduct of persons who seek access to the campus.</li><li>Aids and assists visitors, students, and staff in every way possible.</li><li>Assists in the conduct of evaluation drills, fire drills, active shooter drills, etc. as required by the PRH.</li><li>Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.</li><li>Performs building security and safety checks.</li><li>Obtains help by sounding alarms.</li><li>Receives complaints and performs appropriate investigations as directed by management.</li><li>Provides transportation service as directed.</li><li>Investigates vehicle accidents as assigned.</li><li>Issues visitor passes and temporary parking permits.</li><li>Performs main entrance duty.</li><li>Assists in quelling disturbances.</li><li>Prepares written accident reports and other reports as required.</li><li>Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.</li><li>Coordinates recruiting, selecting, and training of security cadets.</li><li>Participates in preparation and enforcement of the Center's safety and fire prevention program.</li><li>Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.</li><li>Participates in daily briefing covering assignments, proper dress, and procedures.</li><li>Provides written and oral reports, briefings, or summaries to appropriate staff.</li><li>Ensures all equipment is properly maintained.</li><li>Provides vehicle checks to all entering and exiting traffic.</li><li>Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Serrato policies and procedures, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices.</li><li>Follows CDSS plan and Code of Conduct system daily.</li><li>Models, mentors, monitors appropriate Career Success Standards.</li><li>Continuously helps students become more employable.</li><li>Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. One-year supervisory experience. At least one year in a residential living setting and background in youth services programs preferred.
