Overview:
Counselor will be responsible for all facets of the implementation of the Youth Program Summer Day Camp, primarily the supervision of youth and activities.

Responsibilities:
<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Participate in implementing Summer Day Camp under the Director’s leadership and Corps Officers as needed.</li><li>Proper supervision of youth while maintaining a safe and structured environment at all times.</li><li>Participation with students during all activities.</li><li>Assist with the teaching and implementation of lessons and activities (i.e. arts, recreation, devotions, etc.).</li><li>Assist with snack and meal distribution</li><li>Attend all field trips and other outings</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Maintain good stewardship practices in care of equipment, facilities and grounds</li></ul> 

Qualifications:
<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Passion to help disadvantaged youth</li><li>Good communication skills</li><li>All three PA Clearances required upon employment and thereafter upon renewal date: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, Request for Criminal Record, and Fingerprint based federal criminal history.</li><li>PA Mandated and Permissive Reporting and The Salvation Army's KeepSAfe training required.</li><li>High school diploma  - or working towards one</li><li>Previous employment or volunteer experience working with youth and leading activities</li><li> </li></ul>
