<h3>Join Our Team: Summer Camp Sports Coach (Part-Time)</h3>Amazing Athletes of Kansas City Location: Kansas City Metro Area (Kansas City, Overland Park, Leawood, Prairie Village, Lenexa, Olathe, Lees Summit)Amazing Athletes is a sports-based enrichment program for kids, and we’re bringing the fun to the Kansas City Metro area this summer! We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Sports Coaches. This part-time, summer camp position gives you the chance to lead exciting sports classes for kids ages 6 - 10 and help them make the most of their summer!No prior sports experience is required—just a love for working with children and a passion for creating memorable summer experiences!<h3>What You’ll Do:</h3><ul><li>Lead fun, high-energy sports classes for children ages 6 - 10.</li><li>Set up and prepare for camp each morning (arrive by 8:30 AM to get ready).</li><li>Ensure that every class is engaging, structured, and most importantly, fun!</li><li>Supervise and support children throughout the camp session, ensuring safety and encouraging participation.</li><li>Stay until all kids are picked up (around 12:30 PM, or until all children have been safely collected).</li><li>Leave the camp location clean and tidy—no mess left behind!</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with kids, parents, and fellow coaches.</li><li>Track attendance and ensure smooth class operations.</li><li>Attend training and orientation sessions to prepare for camp.</li></ul><h3>Camp Schedule:</h3><ul><li>Camp Hours: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM</li><li>Arrival Time: 8:30 AM (for setup)</li><li>End of Day: Stay until 12:30 PM (or until all kids have been picked up) </li></ul>If you’re looking for a rewarding summer job that’s both fun and impactful, we’d love to have you on our team! Job Description:
<ul><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with the instruction of Sailing Camp Level I and II.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Help maintain, set up, and store sailing equipment.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Follow safety protocol and assist campers in sailing safety.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Assist with camper supervision and communication with parents.  </li></ul>

Job Requirements:
<ul><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Minimum age of 16 years or older.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience working with children.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Previous sailing experience.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Must be able to swim.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Exposure to extreme summer temperatures and water.  </li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lift 20-50 pounds independently.  Lift 50-300 pounds as a group.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Climb in and out of a small sailboat.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lift self from water into small sailboat without assistance.  </li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Pass criminal background check.</li><li style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Pass CPR and First Aid Training</li></ul>JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department.
