Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including pricing of licensing, collaboration, and joint venture transactions • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and deal-structuring capabilities • Working knowledge of intellectual property, licensing models, sponsored research, and research funding mechanisms • Ability to justify and communicate deal terms, financial assumptions, and strategic value to senior leadership • Proven ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously • Executive-level written and verbal communication skills • Experience working in or with academic medical centers, research institutions, or life sciences organizations • Demonstrated supervisory and team-leadership skills Minimum Experience Required PhD, Master's, MBA, or JD and a minimum of eight (8) years progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, licensing, corporate development, or related fields. Experience must be inclusive of: • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or people-management experience • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex agreements such as research collaborations, licenses, strategic alliances, or joint ventures • Experience working closely with legal counsel on contract negotiations and execution *Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of experience as stated above will be considered.
