Hourly pay without a CDL is: $19.47/ hr Hourly pay with a CDL is: $20.44/ hr What are the main job responsibilities? <ul><li>Operate industrial tractors for roadside maintenance</li><li>Collect refuse from various roadways and other similar manual tasks</li><li>Perform manual road construction and maintenance tasks.</li><li>Road patching, cut brush, tar cracks, use hand and small power tools</li><li>Perform a variety of manual labor duties</li><li>Operate light and medium level equipment</li><li>Coordinate traffic control (flagging)</li><li>Operate hand and small power tools</li></ul> What are the minimum qualifications? <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Valid driver’s license or commercial driver’s license (Class B CDL) and safe driving record (some of these positions do NOT require a CDL.)</li><li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li><li>Prior experience in a similar work environment preferred.</li></ul> This position is not eligible for benefits Portage County is an Equal Opportunity Employer

This hands-on position involves driving powered industrial vehicles, operating cranes, monitoring production equipment, and working alongside Operators on paper machine and converting assets. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment </li></ul><ul><li>Communicate effectively in both team-based and self-directed settings </li></ul><ul><li>Assistin the paper-making process by performing tasks such as: </li></ul><ul><li>Preparing stock for use </li></ul><ul><li>Threading paper machines and winders </li></ul><ul><li>Operating overhead cranes </li></ul><ul><li>Transporting rolls using powered industrial vehicles </li></ul><ul><li>Loading and unloading paper in production areas </li></ul><ul><li>Moving finished product to the shipping department </li></ul>Qualifications: Required <ul><li>First consideration will be given to: (1) individuals previously employed with the Whiting Milland (2) children of active employees. </li></ul><ul><li>18 years of ageor older. </li></ul><ul><li>High school diploma or GED. </li></ul><ul><li>Abilityto workrotatingshifts, includingnights, weekends,andholidays. </li></ul><ul><li>Abilityto pass pre-employment physical capabilities test, pre-employment drug/alcoholscreeninganda backgroundcheck. </li></ul>Preferred <ul><li>Manufacturingor other process related experiencepreferred butnotrequired. </li></ul><ul><li>Fulltimeenrollmentin an accreditedcollege or university </li></ul>POSITION DEMANDS: This positionoperatesin a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, odors, and potential exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards.
