Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Operate various types of hand-held, manual, gas, or electrically powered tools/equipment such as push mower, weed eater, chain saw, jackhammer, etc., as required for the installation, repair, and maintenance of city streets, roadways, alleys, sidewalks, drainage systems, and rights of way. Performs daily tasks in the Streets & Drainage Department including the operation of light duty equipment, performing manual labor in various weather conditions, and responding to emergency situations such as flooding and/or storm damage to ensure public roadways, drainage systems, rights of way, and other related infrastructure are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
