Responsibilities include: This position is not direct patient care instead you will provide care coordination for patients, in-basket management to ensure smooth workflow, and communicate with patients via phone and/or through EMR while on-site.

Serve as a patient advocate by ensuring the patient's comfort and safety; observe and document the patient's condition; provide accurate, timely and effective communication regarding the patient's condition to ASC Director, RN, ophthalmologists, surgical staff, anesthesia provider, and administrative staff as appropriate. A minimum of two 2 years of pre/post operative or operating room experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center setting; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the successful performance of the essential job duties.

Required completion of one of the following: current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified credential or combination of experience and training resulting in a nationally recognized certification or completion of a formal MA program or formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces or EMT training and certification or current Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certification.
