The surgical technician sets up the sterile field, assists with draping the patient, anticipates the surgeon's needs and hands sterile supplies and instruments to the surgeon and their assistant. Assists the nurses in providing quality patient care, takes vital signs, transports patients, and helps the professional nurse with interventions.
