Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Thorough knowledge of urban planning principles, including the relationship between land use and transportation design; general knowledge of civil engineering, surveying, and subdivision practice; some knowledge of construction principles; general knowledge of municipal public works construction and maintenance requirements associated with streets, sanitary and storm sewers, and right-of-way maintenance; ability to establish positive working relationship with developers and builders, municipal officials, and the general public; ability to speak fluently before public authorities, e.g. Essential Functions of Position: serves as the primary contact between city and developers, providing interpretation information, advice, and assistance to developers whereneeded; administers the subdivisionprocess; administers the planned unit development, mobile home park, and multi-building development processes, according to appropriateprocedures; administers commercial development reviewprocesses.
