Investigate, inspect, and audit land development, commercial development, multi-family, single family, and Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) construction sites in accordance with the TCEQ Construction General Permit, the City of Grand Prairie Ordinances and Unified Development Codes; respond to complaints from citizens; review Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3) and erosion control plans; identify areas of noncompliance for appropriate enforcement actions; follow up on Notice of Violations (NOVs), action items from inspections/audits, and citizen complaints; perform detention/retention pond inspections and community outreach activities; assist with the maintenance of the rain/stream gauge equipment. Help align activities between the project engineers, right-of-way agents, supervisors, contractors, superintendents, developers, franchise utilities representatives, other City departments, and other agencies by ensuring proper communication; scheduling events between each entity; and serving as a primary source of contact between the City and the contractor, citizens, and other agencies in order to answer questions and/or resolve issues that may arise from crowded right-of-ways.
