to help the worlds most dynamic companies in the tech, biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas sectors tackle some of their most important EHS and sustainability challenges.We are hiring a Managing Consultant,Environmental Health and Safety within the Southern California area (Los Angeles, Orange County, Anaheim, etc.) to help our growing local and global clients address a wide array of Safety challenges in the following areas:<ul><li>Auditing/Assessments</li><li>Behavior Based Safety</li><li>Biohazards/Biosafety</li><li>Chemical or Lab Safety</li><li>Data Analysis</li><li>Electrical safety and NFPA 70E</li><li>Fire Prevention</li><li>Industrial Hygiene</li><li>Laser Safety</li><li>Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)</li><li>Machine Guarding</li><li>Process Safety Assessments</li><li>Machine Safety</li><li>Safety Process Improvement</li><li>Radiation Safety</li></ul>RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Help develop and implement innovative H&S programs and strategies in the areas of Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), hazard communication/chemical management, occupational health programs, safety management systems, process safety and risk management, industrial hygiene assessments, and technical support.</li><li>Identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.</li><li>Assist with collection, review, and analysis of field data to evaluate conditions, present information, and implement effective solutions.</li><li>Support our clients desire to improve safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.</li><li>Participate as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively complete assignments.</li><li>Help/assist early career staff learn and grow as safety professionals through frequent internal and external training as well as exposure to interesting projects and advanced customer experiences.</li><li>Learn and grow as a safety professional through frequent internal and external training as well as exposure to interesting projects and advanced customer experiences.</li><li>Spend time onsite with clients throughout Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, Anaheim, etc.) and based on business needs throughout California and Arizona to help solve their most pressing H&S challenges. </li><li>Assist the world’s most innovative companies develop solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues and concerns.</li><li>Develop an understanding of how your work affects our clients’ business objectives and help them achieve these objectives.</li><li>Build client relationships and nurture repeat business by continuously striving to exceed their expectations.</li><li>Begin to build a network within and outside of ERM that will enable you to leverage and develop your skills and help solve challenging multi-disciplinary client challenges.</li><li>Be an active team member on projects.</li><li>Ensure quality standards on project deliverables.</li><li>Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and other ERM employees.</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Engineering or related science degree.</li><li>4+ years relevant experience with broad exposure to the technology, pharmaceutical/biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and/or oil and gas sectors.</li><li>Knowledge of California regulations and local, state and federal EHS regulations.</li><li>Ability to travel within Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, Anaheim, etc.) and based on business needs travel outside of the Southern California area.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team setting.</li><li>Effectively and succinctly, communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.</li><li>Good team player, especially during challenging situations. </li><li>Strong work ethic with a passion to learn, grow, and thrive.</li><li>Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license and/or the ability to operate a company vehicle due to the nature of job duties, which include frequent travel to various client locations across a large geographical area. </li><li>This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.</li></ul>PREFERRED:<ul><li>Master degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, Engineering or related science degree.</li><li>Experience managing direct reports and/or project staff, scoping and managing project budgets and expenses. </li></ul><ul><li>CSP, CIH, or similar certification/qualification.</li></ul><div><div><div><div>For the Managing Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $100,474 – $127,553USD.  An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.  We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.  This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
