Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: **Required Experience:** - Minimum 2 years of experience - Community hospital experience required - Experience with charting systems required - Travel experience required **Preferred Experience:** - Previous charge experience preferred **Certifications Required:** - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) **Certifications Preferred:** - Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) **Required Skills:** - Work settings experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry Oncology, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response teams - Cardiovascular care: Post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath - Gastrointestinal care: feeding tube care and management - Genitourinary/Renal: pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure - IV therapy/phlebotomy: blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting IVs - Medication management: Heparin protocols, manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, PCA - Neurological/Psychiatric: CVA care - Respiratory management: chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, tracheostomy management - Professional topics: Isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac **Preferred Skills:** - Cardiovascular: sheath removal - IV therapy/phlebotomy: accessing ports, phlebotomy - Orthopedics: total joint replacements **Licensure:** - RN licensure required, no pending licenses accepted **Additional Requirements:** - Ability to float between departments, units, and facilities as needed - Must be located at least 75 miles from the facility (no locals) - Must have both Kansas and Missouri or compact license at submission **Special Requirements:** - Experience with AMI, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, chest pain, vascular/PVD, sepsis/infection, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, SI, GI bleed, pre/post cath patients, femoral line/groin site management **Technical Proficiency:** - Experience using EPIC charting system **Preferred Professional Attributes:** - Experience with interdisciplinary teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and other support services.
