Typical responsibilities include: Reviewing client and prospect tax positions to uncover more advantageous methods, structures, or planning opportunities Assessing business operating structures, evaluating potential acquirers, and supporting the negotiation of favorable deal terms to maximize after-tax outcomes for clients Leading the development and coordination of overall transaction strategies, understanding both business issues and owner objectives Conducting research and technical analysis on topics such as Section 1202 gain exclusions, structuring for growth or business change, leveraging new tax legislation, and optimizing ownership and operating structures for efficiency You will work closely with a managing director of strategic tax consulting and provide support to client service teams. Minimum Qualifications Required Bachelors degree 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field 3 years supervisory experience Must have active CPA or equivalent certification Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally Must be able to travel based on client and business needs Proficient use of applicable technology About the Role We are seeking a Strategic Tax Manager to join our growing Southeast Region.
