POSITION PURPOSE: Under general supervision creates an inviting, learning environment, which fosters personal growth of educationally disadvantaged children; to nurture those attitudes, skills, and knowledge necessary for future successes in school; to build strong ties between home and school; to establish & maintain positive relationships with parents and other staff members. BA/BS degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, and be working towards a North Carolina Birth-Kindergarten (B-K) license or be eligible for a Provisional Lateral Entry B-K license.
