Examine the patient's chronological and/or developmental level in relationship to rehabilitation goals and treatment and develop injury prevention programs and provide appropriate preventative and supportive devices for the physically active person; Dispense written, illustrated home programs of exercises and activities which assist the athlete in the healing and rehabilitation of the injuries; Dispense implement written educational materials regarding care of injury, prevention and rehabilitation, and reconditioning exercises, and fitness programs; Act as a liaison between the physician, PTs, OTs, and the patients/parents regarding follow-up care, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and return to activity and/or athletic participation. The Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking an individual with an interest in joining our Orthopaedic sports medicine team which includes orthopaedic primary care sports medicine specialists, certified athletic trainers, advanced practice providers, nurses, and research coordinators.
