In your role as Supervisor of Master Control, you will support the playout and origination of CBS/NBC Stations that are broadcasting on our new Cloud-Base Master Control Platform. In this position, you will provide leadership, guidance and development on a team of Master Control Operators. You will assist with training and skills development for members of your team.   Major Responsibilities: <ul><li> </li><li>Supervise the “day to day” operations of the Media Operations Center</li><li> </li><li>Support the team during Live Local News and Local/Network Sports Events. </li><li> </li><li>Assist the Sr. Manager of the Media Operation Center with the creation, training, implementation of new processes and workflows.</li><li> </li><li>Support and in cases, oversee training initiatives for Master Control Operators</li><li> </li><li>Act as a liaison for the group between clients and partners in order to strengthen partnerships with Master Control (Station General Manager, Traffic Department, On Air Promotion, Programming, Engineering, etc.).</li><li> </li><li>Perform the duties of Master Control Operator when needed</li><li> </li></ul> Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: <ul><li> </li><li>Consistently check in with staff and update regularly about workflow processes and changes made for the “day to day”</li><li> </li><li>Ensure completion of daily tasks</li><li> </li><li>Actively participate in developing positive employee relations </li><li> </li><li>Prepare performance evaluations, writing and participating in yearly reviews</li><li> </li><li>Take responsibility for the work environment, both culturally and physically</li><li> </li><li>Manage staffing needs to include attendance issues, resolving Call-Ins and all unscheduled shifts.</li><li> </li><li>Assist with special projects as necessary</li><li> </li><li>Approach operations and resourcing using an agile and lean mindset.</li><li> </li><li>Compile data and/or generate reports, as needed.</li><li> </li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li> </li><li>3+ Years experience as Master Control Operator or Technicians in Master Control and Ingest Areas of Television and Content Media Companies.</li><li> </li><li>Experience with On Air Master Control Automation Systems</li><li> </li><li>Experience with Cloud Automation Playout System – AMAGI CLOUDPORT (A PLUS) </li><li> </li><li>Experience in troubleshooting operational issues (Playout, Media, Caption, etc.).</li><li> </li><li>Experience with digital workflows and digital video technologies.</li><li> </li><li>Experience with Systems and Hardware for Content Ingest, Playout and Distribution.</li><li> </li><li>Experience in Switching Live Local News and Sporting Events. (A MUST)</li><li> </li><li>Experience in Local Station Operations.</li><li> </li><li>Available to work any shift in a 24/7 Operation as well as holidays and weekends.</li><li> </li><li>Excellent Writing Skills of Technical Operating Procedures.
