Specific skills necessary include preventive maintenance on AC and DC motors including changing direction, inspecting, and testing brush gear and windings, troubleshooting, transformer ratings and overcurrent protection, connections for various transformers, calibration, proper repair, precision installation, successful start-up, and reliability of all related facility equipment. Able to work in an industrial environment including temperature extremes (warm/hot), dust and dirt, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, or elevated working surfaces (with proper safety training and safety protection).
