As a member of the construction projects and facilities team, the paint & coatings technician mixes, strips, paints, and details advanced paint systems, prepares metallic substrates via abrasion and etchants, applies sealants/adhesives, maintains spraying equipment, and uses precision tools like calipers while supporting safety, quality, and delivery improvements. Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint steel surfaces, buildings, and fixtures utilizing all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat-resistant finishes.
