Position Description JCC anticipates potential part-time openings for Construction Technology Instructor for upcoming semesters (fall, spring, summer) on the Jamestown Campus. Class times and course coverage needs will vary from semester to semester. Clearly state area of interest on application materials. This is a pool posting and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis. Essential Functions Instruction and Curriculum Development <ul><li>Deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials for topics such as construction methods, materials, blueprint reading, safety regulations, and project management. </li><li>Conduct hands-on workshops and lab sessions to teach practical skills like framing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and use of construction tools and equipment. </li><li>Identify proper tools and equipment required for labs as appropriate. </li></ul>Student Support and Assessment <ul><li>Assess student performance through tests, projects, and practical evaluations. </li><li>Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their skills and knowledge. </li></ul>Industry Collaboration and Professional Development <ul><li>Maintain partnerships with local construction companies, unions, and industry organizations to ensure alignment with industry standards. </li><li>Stay updated on advancements in construction technology and incorporate new practices and tools into the curriculum. </li></ul>Classroom and Lab Management <ul><li>Maintain a safe and organized learning environment in classrooms and labs. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety protocols and OSHA regulations during all instructional activities. </li><li>Assist Workforce development staff in the monitor and manage inventory of tools, materials, and equipment. </li></ul> Qualifications Five (5) years of industry/work experience in instructional area. The ability to demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in instructional area.
