Some technical requirements for this position are:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>0-2 years of experience in a similar role, troubleshooting desktop workstations and software installation.</li><li>Experience with any of the following is a plus: Windows 10; Windows Server 2012 / 2019; Office 365; Cisco Unified Communications; Cisco and Ubiquiti networking; Konica Minolta and HP printers.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communications skills.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.</li><li>Ability to successfully pass a background check in relation to the position applied for.</li><li>CompTIA A+ / Network+ and MCITP preferred (not required).</li><li>Must have valid driver's license and car insurance.</li></ul>Day to Day:<ul><li>Handle support calls from users.</li><li>Respond to helpdesk tickets promptly.</li><li>Install and configure hardware and software components.</li><li>Assist users by troubleshooting software or hardware issues.</li><li>Manage security and access privileges for users.</li><li>Handle system alerts.</li><li>Support calls run the gamut from application support to phone programming to security administration.</li><li>Special projects as assigned.</li></ul>

_This is a field based role out of Yakima, WA._

**Your Responsibilities**

As a **Field Technology Specialist, Farm Systems Innovation** for **John Deere World Headquarters** located in **Yakima, WA,** you will:

+ Be responsible for executing data capture of select farm activities with pilot customers

+ Troubleshoot technical difficulty with Farm Systems Innovation equipment

+ Conduct field activities, including drone flights and sensor data collection

+ Set up and operate tools such as drones, imaging systems, and sensing equipment in real-world farm environments

+ Ensure consistent, repeatable data collection across blocks, orchards, and pilot farms

+ Spend time on-site with customers, supporting daily operations and building familiarity with farm workflows and constraints

+ Assist in setting up and maintaining systems during pilot rollouts, including hardware, connectivity, and data collection workflows

+ Work closely with AI Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure collected data meets requirements and resolves gaps quickly

+ Manage and maintain drones, sensors, and field equipment to ensure reliable operation

+ Surface real-world observations, challenges, and opportunities to improve recommendations, workflows, and system design

+ Operate drones and equipment in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements

**What Skills You Need**

+ Comfortable working outdoors and in farm environments for extended periods

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow data collection protocols

+ Basic technical familiarity with sensors, mobile tools, or field equipment

+ Ability to work independently in the field and interact professionally with growers

+ Strong communication skills to relay field insights back to the team

+ Interest in agriculture, technology, and innovation

+ Valid U.S. Driver's License

**What Makes You Stand Out**

+ Experience operating drones (FAA Part 107 certification preferred or willingness to obtain)

+ Bilingual in Spanish

**Education**

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

+ Bachelor's degree in Sales/Marketing, Data and Analytics related fields, or equivalent experience.
