Short Description:

Overview:
 Introduction to the corporate information technology function to include both directed and independent projects. 

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Direction<ul><li>Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined processes.</li></ul>At the Operational and Company Level<ul><li>Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization and participate in intern program learning and development opportunities.</li></ul>Do the Work<ul><li>IT internships may focus on one or more departmental concentrations:<ul><li>Information Technology User Support and Service<ul><li>Respond to help desk requests.</li><li>Set up and deploy computer equipment.</li><li>Install software.</li><li>Schedule hardware repairs with vendors.</li><li>Maintain computer equipment inventory.</li><li>Conduct back-up system maintenance.</li><li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the IT Director.</li></ul></li><li>Application Development<ul><li>Assist in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of web and/or mobile applications.</li><li>Develop or update software components under guidance from senior developers.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, stand-up meetings, and sprint planning sessions.</li><li>Document code and maintain development logs or reports.</li><li>Support system testing and troubleshooting activities.</li><li>Contribute to UI/UX improvements and design discussions as needed.</li><li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Application Development Manager or project leads.</li></ul></li><li>IT Security<ul><li>Monitor security systems, review alerts/logs, and assist in investigating potential threats or incidents.</li><li>Conduct vulnerability scans and support remediation efforts for identified risks.</li><li>Assist in managing user access controls and auditing identity management practices.</li><li>Support security awareness training efforts and help maintain compliance documentation.</li><li>Gain hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, firewalls) and assist with IT security projects.</li><li>Respond to help desk requests.</li><li>Set up and deploy lab/testing equipment.</li><li>Configure, Install and test software.</li><li>Update and contribute to department documentation.</li><li>Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Information Security Officer.</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li><li>Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required.</li><li>Enrolled in a college degree program pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of practical work experience.</li><li>Experience troubleshooting general computer hardware.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office preferred.</li></ul>

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
<ul><li>Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.</li><li>Mobility around an office environment.</li><li>Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.</li><li>Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.</li><li>Occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds.</li><li>Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.</li></ul>#LI-BJ1
