This position oversees and guides Fiber Technicians in performing a wide range of splicing activities on both new and existing fiber infrastructure.
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in road, utility easement and private property environments to prepare worksite for telecommunications construction activities. Essential Position Functions: • Able to utilize a variety of hand tools, operate power tools and equipment to perform outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) utility construction.
p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires three (3) years as a Facilities Maintenance Worker; OR three (3) years as a building maintenance technician or construction worker, with experience performing work in at least three of the following areas: basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and/or HVAC work. Under general direction, performs skilled work of average to considerable difficulty in the performance of building maintenance including the fields of electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); carpentry; plumbing, etc; and performs related duties as assigned.
