Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Float/Med Surg/Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - 24 months of experience in Progressive Care, Stepdown, Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele - Experience, comfort, and proficiency with drips, including heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltizem, and digoxin - Must be able to read EKG/ECG confidently, including rhythm strips and dysrhythmia reads License: - Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale certificate (nice to have) Must-Have: - De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) (preferred, can be obtained during onboarding) - 1st time traveler accepted with at least 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Description: Nurse will float across various units based on staffing needs. Comfort in managing both stable and unstable patients effectively is essential.
