Certified Assistants at Bensonhurst Dental Care work in a purpose-driven team to facilitate treatment provided by our doctors and to enhance the patient experience.<br/><br/>Certification is a plus.<br/><br/>Must be a Certified Dental Assistant, licensed or in process of licensure by the State of New York (please see http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/dent/dentcdalic.htm for details).<br/><br/><strong>Skills Required:</strong></div><ul><li>Must possess knowledge of procedures/terminology and all related instruments and equipment.</li><li>Must be able to provide infection control/sterilization in accordance with industry standards.</li><li>Must possess a general knowledge of dental equipment maintenance.</li><li>Must possess a general knowledge of electronic patient record use and associated computer skills.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></div><ul><li>Must maintain a healthy lifestyle.</li><li>Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.</li><li>Must have excellent vision and hearing.</li><li>Must be in good physical shape to withstand frequent bending, stooping, leaning, sitting, and walking.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Duties:</strong></div><ul><li>Greeting, seating, and dismissing patients in accordance with office procedures in a timely manner.</li><li>Preparing patients for treatment by checking them in and performing preliminary treatment as directed.</li><li>Assisting doctors thoroughly and completely with orthodontic procedures with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency.</li><li>Properly recording electronic chart entries regarding the details of each visit.</li><li>Preparing and cleaning operatories for patient treatment.</li><li>Delivering orthodontic and oral hygiene instructions clearly and thoroughly with the use of visual aids.</li><li>Obtaining patient records, including photos and impressions for study models.</li><li>Helping to maintain a clean and well-stocked clinic.</li><li>Communicating effectively with and attending to the needs of patients.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Time Commitment, Pay, and Benefits:</strong><br/>Excellent pay and benefits are available, and we look forward to discussing those details with you.</div><br/><br/><strong>About Bensonhurst Dental:</strong><p>Bensonhurst Dental is a nationally recognized cosmetic and implant dental practice based in Brooklyn, New York.
