The Mechanic I will perform routine fuel and lube change maintenance while also assisting Heavy Equipment Mechanics with service, repair, and maintenance of heavy equipment and light power train systems used for the Moab Uranium Mill Tailings Remedial Action (UMTRA) Project, at the Moab or Crescent Junction site, including, but not limited to, heavy duty trucks and trailers, bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, water trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, trailers, light support vehicles, and maintenance on the shipping intermodal containers. Since its establishment in Idaho Falls in 1992, Portage has completed over $1.2 billion of projects focused primarily on investigations, remedial/response actions, and removal of radiological, hazardous, and toxic waste for federal, state, tribal, and local governments and private industry clients.
