The Candidate: The successful candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of techniques specifically related to community mental health services and the ability to: understand the behavior of people under stress, develop cooperative relationships with clients, their families, and the community, maintain relationships with physicians, law enforcement agencies, the courts, public and private administrators, and the community in general, interpret community mental health and chemical dependency services, and prepare concise and complete clinical documentation. Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a Human Services Specialist I to perform a variety of tasks consistent with the experience and abilities of the individual including, but not limited to, intensive case management, skills training, group facilitation, Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) caring contacts, as well as some community-based work with high acuity clients.
