This position is based on-site in Pittsburg, KS, and plays a key role in the logistics and safety of company operations.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Driver Recruitment & Management:<ul><li>Lead the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of qualified Class A CDL drivers with Hazmat endorsements.</li><li>Partner with Human Resources to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company hiring standards.</li><li>Maintain an engaged and effective driver workforce by providing leadership, support, and ongoing development opportunities.</li></ul></li><li>Fleet & Equipment Management:<ul><li>Oversee the tracking and allocation of all company trailers, containers, and fleet vehicles.</li><li>Ensure routine maintenance and timely repairs on all fleet equipment to maintain a high safety standard.</li><li>Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure the effective deployment and management of transportation resources.</li></ul></li><li>Logistics Coordination:<ul><li>Plan and coordinate the movement of products from production facilities to distribution centers across the country.</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with third-party trucking companies to manage overflow transportation needs.</li><li>Work closely with distribution centers to meet shipping schedules and manage transportation costs effectively.</li></ul></li><li>Regulatory Compliance & Training:<ul><li>Maintain all necessary Class A CDL certifications and Hazmat qualifications for the driver team.</li><li>Develop and implement ongoing training programs to ensure driver compliance with federal and state safety standards, including DOT and FMCSA regulations.</li><li>Keep up-to-date records on driver certifications, training logs, and compliance documentation.</li></ul></li><li>Safety & Risk Management:<ul><li>Monitor and enforce adherence to company safety policies, with a focus on minimizing incidents and ensuring the safe transport of hazardous materials.</li><li>Review and analyze transportation incident reports and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.</li></ul></li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, with a focus on hazardous materials and/or logistics within a distribution environment.</li><li>Proven experience in managing a team of CDL drivers, including hiring, performance management, and training.</li><li>Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and Hazmat transportation regulations.</li><li>Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers and internal stakeholders.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Ability to work in various environments, including office settings and distribution center/warehouse environments.</li><li>Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to conduct site visits and interact with fleet vehicles and trailers as needed.</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary within the specified range.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and ongoing training opportunities.</li></ul>This position provides an exciting opportunity to lead the transportation efforts at Lone Star Management and Jakes Fireworks, contributing to the success of our distribution network across the United States. Role Overview: The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, ensure efficientprocurement, production, inventory management, and shipping to meet business objectives and customerdemand. Responsibilities: Logistics Manager is responsible for managing every stage of the supply chain, from sourcing raw material to delivering finished products considering food safety, quality, and cost.  Core duties include:<ul><li>Strategic planning and process optimization: Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance across the supply chain network.</li><li>Procurement and Supplier Management: Source and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance through trends/scores, and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality materials while following the Corrective Action process with supplier deviations.</li><li>Production Scheduling: Ensure scheduling is completed for process and packaging to meet Pos with emphasis to optimize the schedule and partner with Operations with adverse conditions.</li><li>Inventory and Warehouse Management: Oversee inventory control and warehouse operations to minimize shortages or excess inventory and implement audits including FIFO.</li><li>Shipping: Coordinate transportation to ensure timely delivery of finished goods to the warehouse.</li><li>Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.</li><li>Team Leadership and Collaboration: Train, mentor, and manage the supply chain teams while collaborating with internal departments such as operations, quality, and finance.</li><li>Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor supply chain KPI’s, analyze logistics data, and prepare reports to support decisions and continuous improvement.</li><li>Training: Conduct training for procedures or policies that are covered within supply chain</li></ul><h1>Primary Physical Requirements</h1><ul><li>The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. </li><li>Ability to tolerate working temperatures under 50oF and/or over 90oF for periods of up to three (3) hours.</li><li>Work elevated, i.e. on a ladder, in a lift box, or scissor lift.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>3+ years directly supervising personnel in supply chain management</li><li>8+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain</li><li>Knowledge of inventory control best practices and industry standards</li><li>Experience with utilizing lean tools such as JIT, Kanban, etc is a plus</li><li>End to end supply chain competency</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Attention to detail and organizational abilities.</li><li>Inquisitive mind capable of deductive reasoning and logical thought process</li><li>Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.</li><li>Experience in collecting and analyzing data.</li><li>Talent in negotiations and networking.</li><li>Familiar with OSHA regulations, safety policies/procedures preferred</li><li>Effective interpersonal skills - including positive, diplomatic, proactive verbal communication and the ability to listen attentively and understand verbal information</li><li>Establish/strengthen cross functional relationships with corporate, vendors, and facility departments to support continuous improvement efforts, procedures, and sensitivity to costs.</li><li>Ability to operate effectively under moderate stress</li><li>Ability to organize work and be efficient to meet time demands</li><li>Ability to adapt to various environments, handle and accept change in a positive manner, and work through ambiguity</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work without direct/constant supervision</li><li>Ability to learn SOPs and other written programs in order to support SQF system.</li></ul>Additional Considerations:<ul><li>International relocation will not be considered.</li><li>Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
