POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Supervisor of Elementary Reading and Language Arts, the Literacy Coach ensures students receive high-quality literacy instruction by providing teachers in a school building guidance, leadership, expertise and professional development through modeling lessons, observations and feedback sessions, data analysis, and more to improve student achievement. The Literacy Coach takes a hands-on approach to improving instruction and effectiveness by working at various levels (classroom, school, district-wide) to directly support instruction, intervention, and English Language Development for all students, including students with disabilities and multilingual learners.
