The incumbent gains skills and knowledge in the use of hand, power tools, heavy equipment, technology (such as IPads, computers, etc.), state and federal regulations and through required on-the-job training, advances that knowledge and applies these developed skills to road maintenance and repair work. This position is responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more.
