Description:Primary Skills for this Role:<h2>About the Role:</h2>We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager for our Transportation Division in Tucson, AZ. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in transportation-related construction, including highways, roadways, and bridges, as well as underground utility infrastructure. Candidates should have proven longevity in previous roles and a well-rounded portfolio of successful projects, particularly those involving asphalt.<h2>Key Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Extensive experience in transportation projects such as highways, roadways, and bridges</li><li> </li><li>Knowledge of underground utilities including water, gas, electric, and piping</li><li> </li><li>Versatile project experience-asphalt experience is a strong plus</li><li> </li><li>Demonstrated stability and career longevity in past positions</li></ul><h2>What You'll Be Doing:</h2>Estimator Responsibilities:<ul><li>Apply innovative and creative thinking to the project estimating process</li><li> </li><li>Conduct thorough risk analyses for each bid</li><li> </li><li>Prepare and submit estimates in alignment with contract specifications</li><li> </li><li>Fully understand project plans, specifications, and scopes of work</li><li> </li><li>Lead and mentor Project Engineers/Assistant Estimators in:<ul><li>Distributing RFPs to subcontractors and vendors</li><li> </li><li>Coordinating quantity take-offs</li><li> </li><li>Reviewing quotes from subcontractors and vendors</li><li> </li><li>Participating in project hand-off meetings</li></ul></li></ul><h2>Project Management Responsibilities:</h2><ul><li>Manage and coordinate project execution with internal teams, subcontractors, and owners</li><li> </li><li>Attend and lead project meetings to address safety, quality, schedule, and productivity</li><li> </li><li>Monitor job cost tracking and prepare monthly forecasts</li><li> </li><li>Submit pay applications and resolve outstanding project issues</li><li> </li><li>Guide and mentor Project Engineers in:<ul><li>Reviewing subcontractor pay applications</li><li> </li><li>Preparing and submitting change orders and RFIs</li><li> </li><li>Coordinating project closeout documentation</li></ul></li><li> </li><li>Perform other duties as needed, as responsibilities may evolve based on project demands</li></ul><h2>Relevant Project Types:</h2><ul><li>Infrastructure: Highways, roadways, bridges, underground utilities, earthwork, concrete, paving</li><li> </li><li>Utilities: Wastewater treatment plants, booster and water treatment systems, reservoir rehabilitation</li><li> </li><li>Development: Site development and related infrastructure</li><li> </li><li>Job Order Contracts (JOC): Experience with JOC projects is a plus</li></ul><h2>Physical Demands & Work Environment:</h2><ul><li>Regularly required to sit, use hands, communicate effectively, and operate computers</li><li> </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate active construction sites</li><li> </li><li>Work involves both office and field environments, including varied outdoor weather conditions</li><li> </li><li>Exposure to noise, dust, machinery, and uneven terrain</li><li> </li><li>Occasional extended hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines</li></ul><h2>Why Join Us?</h2>We're more than just a construction firm-we're a team of builders committed to growing people and delivering lasting infrastructure.
