The Experimental Device Engineering and Assembly Group (V-5) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the V-5 Packaging and Transportation Team. V-5 is Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) premier engineering organization focused on expert assembly of experimental weapon test devices. The successful candidate will be mentored and will assist senior personnel in scheduling, packaging, and transporting classified matter, high explosives, hazardous materials, and test assemblies. After a period of training and observation, the selected candidate will develop professional expertise to become a qualified HE handler, CDL driver with hazmat endorsement, and LANL Authorized Shipper in all hazard classes and divisions. The successful candidate will be expected to qualify for and participate in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). Packaging Specialist 2 $72,800-$115,400 In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, at this level the successful candidate will assist senior personnel in scheduling, packaging, and transporting classified matter, high explosives, hazardous materials, and test assemblies. After a period of training and observation, the selected candidate will develop professional expertise to become a qualified HE handler, CDL driver with hazmat endorsement, and LANL Authorized Shipper in all hazard classes and divisions.
