Essential Functions:Supervises field crew, subcontractor and craft activities, including determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, mechanical, scheduling and documentationInterprets sketches, blue prints and isometric drawingsOversees layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittingsInspects worksite to determine presence of obstructionsWorks pipe crews safely and productively in an outdoor or indoor manufacturing, process facilityResponsible for performing a wide range of skilled construction tasksTracks time sheets, plan/schedule work and generate material takeoff's from plans as neededPlans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workersManages installation of pipe systems and related materials and equipment, such as supports and hangers, according to job specificationsTests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaksLoads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and suppliesComfortable working at heightsPerforms other duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibility: YesRequired:8+ years pipe fitting experienceProven ability to effectively manage and lead teams of 8 to 10 individuals, ensuring high productivity, team cohesion, and successful project outcomesCapable of reading/understanding drawings & P&ID'sMust be able to use a computer for access to project models and electronic drawingsKnowledge to field measure/layout of pipe systems in the fieldMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust adhere to all company policy and proceduresMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assignedThe work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following: Work Environment:May work in varying temperatures; both inside and outside, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, cold, and dampnessMay work in areas with exposure to moderate/high noise levelsMay be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including dustMay be required to work in confined spaces or from high heights Physical Demands:This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power tools While performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
