Join Our Dynamic STICU Team as a Traveling RN!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** K4, 509 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC 28801 - **Shift:** 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM - **Unit:** Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU) - **Number of Beds:** 20 - **Patient Ratios:** 1:2 **Unit Specifics:** - **Scrub Color(s):** Navy or white - **Staffing:** - AM: 10 RNs (with additional coverage for 1:1 needs), 1 supervisor, 1 PCT, 1 ICU waiting room HUC - PM: Same as AM - **Equipment Utilized:** - EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors - GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blanket, Bair Hugger - Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, Alaris PCA pumps - **Documentation System:** Cerner Power Chart - **Scheduling Requirements:** - A total of 6 weekend shifts - 6-week schedule - **Floating Policy:** Travelers float before core staff; potential floating to other ICUs (MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU) or Step Down. - **Common Procedures:** - Intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement - A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy - Endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration - Trach placement, EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, minor surgery - **Certifications Required:** - Valid Nursing License - Active ACLS and BLS Certifications - **Dress Code:** - All navy or all white; navy bottoms can be paired with a white top.
