ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: The job of a school bus driver is performed for the purpose of improving student achievement by transporting students safely to and from school, and school-related activities; ensuring the school bus is in safe operating condition, managing student behavior and enforcing rules, regulations, policies and laws to ensure students safety during transport, loading and unloading. School bus drivers are responsible for safely and professionally operating a school bus over an assigned route (in all types of weather conditions including but not limited to heat, cold, rain, hail, sleet, snow, ice and fog).
