Different guests want different things, and we are here to build and provide a tailored retail experience. </p><h5>The Role </h5><p>Essential Functions </p><ul><li>Provide an exciting, positive, and fun environment for our diverse team & fan base </li><li>Greet guests & ascertain their interest, so you may make sales recommendations </li><li>Excellent accuracy when using POS systems </li><li>Demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, & any other tasks assigned by supervisor </li><li>Present merchandise to increase sale with add on items </li><li>Must be able to describe merchandise features, benefits, and explain use </li><li>Keep current on promotions & sales in store: and events </li><li>Maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts. <div><strong>HOUSE DIRECTOR POSITION DESCRIPTION:<br/></strong>The House Director is a 10-month contracted professional who is required to reside onsite at the Alpha Xi Chapter Zeta Tau Alpha residential facility in Bloomington, IN. The House Director is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day facility oversight and facility safety management to ensure the well-being of the 107 residents. The House Director resides in an apartment in the residential facility during the contract term and receives meals based on live-in members’ meal plan. If you are not applying through a third-party job site, please go to our website to apply directly.<br/><br/>Due to the nature of the live-in requirement and ZTA’s membership policy, this House Director position is open to individuals who consistently live and self-identify as women.<br/><br/><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></div><ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>Goal- and team-oriented with ability to work closely with members, staff and vendors while exhibiting a positive, professional attitude.</li><li>Well organized and able to work and make sound decisions under pressure with tight deadlines.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to relate to collegiate members.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree (in any field).</li><li>Prior experience as a House Director or experience in property management, residential life or Greek-letter organization.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:<br/>Health and Safety:</strong></div><ul><li>Develop and maintain a safety-conscious working environment, in partnership with the Housing Team: Chapter President, VP Facility Operations, and VP Finance (collegiate members); and General Advisor, Facility Operations Advisor and Financial Advisor (alumnae volunteers).</li><li>Ensure all safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, detectors, fire alarms, security systems and access code systems, are well maintained and in good working order.</li><li>Oversee all aspects of the entry system including:<ul><li>Maintaining records of entry access permission and deactivating any entry system components (fobs, keys, biometrics, etc.) that are not returned.</li><li>Providing appropriate access to new members, transfer members, new advisors, and new staff</li><li>Removing access for members who have transferred or resigned, as well as advisors and staff who are no longer employed within the facility.</li><li>Managing accurate records of hard keys/room keys.</li><li>In collaboration with the chapter VP Facility Operations, complete the Safety, Security and Fire Checklist and enact the chapter Crisis Management Plan, when appropriate.</li><li>Collaborate with the VP Facility Operations and General Advisor for opening and closing operations during key times of the academic year.</li></ul></li><li>Support the completion of the Move-In/Out Form.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Staff and Facility Management:</strong></div><ul><li>Supervise all deliveries to the facility.</li><li>Supervise repairs to and maintenance of the facility and its furnishings, equipment, and grounds to ensure such repairs are completed with Zeta Tau alpha’s standards and guidelines.</li><li>In partnership with the Facility Operations Advisor, oversee housekeeping. You may be responsible for supervising a housekeeping staff or you may be responsible for conducting housekeeping activities yourself.</li><li>In partnership with the Facility Operations Advisor, supervise contractors and third-party vendors working within the facility.</li><li>Oversee meal planning.</li><li>Understand and implement budget management related to the facility by monitoring and tracking facility maintenance spending throughout the year.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Community Development:</strong></div><ul><li>Actively commit to fostering an inclusive living environment including working with individuals or groups from diverse backgrounds.</li><li>Foster and encourage a positive environment within the facility as it relates to the five areas of ZTA sisterhood: Shared Social Experiences, Support & Encouragement, Belonging, Accountability, and Common Purpose.</li><li>Commit to cooperation, teamwork and flexibility when working with chapter advisors, chapter officers and third-party vendors.</li><li>Maintain necessary communication with designated advisors on all facility-related issues.</li><li>Establish positive relationships with collegiate members through communication.</li><li>Interact professionally and diplomatically with members, parents, alumnae, vendors and campus and community representatives.</li></ul><div><br/><strong>Remuneration and Benefits:</strong></div><ul><li>All facilities are a smoke-, pet-, drug-, and alcohol-free environments.
