li>Performs delivery of patient care; draws blood, starts IVs, may administer prescribed injections, assist with ambulation and transfer, specimen collection for urine, sputum, feces and phlebotomy; acquisition of 12-lead EKG's; assisting patients with personal care needs, documentation of clinical tests results; completion of all daily/weekly/monthly checklists; performance of wound asepsis. By providing this vital support to patients and medical staff, Patient Care Technicians streamline the delivery of medical care and improve the patient's overall comfort, experience, and care outcomes at the ICC and Express Care locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Masters degree Licensure/ Certification: IL Advanced Prac Nurse, IL Registered Nurse License, BLS Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
