Duties and Responsibilities A selected candidate will teach one (1) or two (2) courses in the Department of Professional and Public Writing. Specific responsibilities include: Delivering online lessons and assignments in UX Design principles, tools, and techniques through our course management platform, Brightspace. Providing regular feedback, guidance, and mentoring support to students to facilitate their learning and skill development while conveying confidence in every students ability to learn. Cultivating a collaborative and participatory online learning environment that values diversity of people, ideas, cultures, and forms of expression. Evaluating student performance and progress and providing timely assessment. Fostering a safe environment that respects the diversity of people and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence in every students ability to learn. Note: Part-time faculty are not required to engage in research or service activities but must hold regular office hours and be available to assist students enrolled in their courses. They are expected to stay current in their fields of instruction and with pedagogical methods and instructional technologies. Online teaching requires certification and possibly training by the University.Required Qualifications 1. Overview:
General Dynamics Electric Boat Information Techology Department (D604) is searching for a highly motivated individual to supervise several EBIT teams to include the Deck plate Assistance and Real Time Support (DARTS) team, responsible for supporting the use of digital shipbuilding tools and processes at the deck plate. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Supervise several EBIT teams to include the Deck Plate Assistance and Real time support (DARTS) team, responsible for supporting the use of digital shipbuilding tools and processes at the deck plate throughout Operations at Groton Shipyard. </li><li>Continuous interaction with EBIT (Tech Stop & SE Org) to ensure a smooth customer experience</li><li>Leading the DARTS team in collaboration with Shipbuilders, Deck Plate Engineering, Planning, Construction Readiness, IT, etc. to support Operations</li><li>Ensuring continuous improvement of deployed tools or capabilities through a dedicated feedback loop from Operations</li><li>Professional development and empowerment of the Quonset Point DARTS Program Reps</li><li>This Supervisory position is located at Groton Shipyard and will require availability onsite 5 days a week</li></ul>The successful candidate will have excellent project management and communication skills.  They will also have a high-level understanding of Electric Boat construction processes and be able to think strategically while acting tactically to execute multiple projects concurrently.  This leader must be skilled at problem identification, investigation, and resolution of tasking through completion.

Qualifications:
Required:<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>4+ years’ experience in Design/Engineering, Digital Transformation or Information Technology</li><li>Experience with end user support</li><li>Working knowledge with Service Now Ticketing Process</li><li>Working knowledge with Microsoft Office Products</li><li>Active Secret security clearance is required</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Associate’s degree in engineering or information technology</li><li>Familiar with Power BI</li><li>8 or more years’ experience in Design/Engineering, Digital Transformation or Information Technology</li><li>2 or more years in a Supervisory role</li><li>EB Business System Processes</li></ul>
