POSITION SUMMARY The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day coordination, communication, and support of volunteer activities across all campuses. This role focuses heavily on building and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers, churches, businesses, community organizations, and donor groups to create meaningful opportunities for involvement and service. The ideal candidate is relational, organized, and passionate about creating positive volunteer experiences while ensuring campus needs are met through effective coordination and communication. This position will also provide program team support through Bible Study coordination and the coordination of Life Skills instructors.  MISSION: In a Christ-centered environment, we equip homeless moms to transform their families for generations   Staff Core Values: 1. The role oversees Section charter compliance and governance, leads the organization’s volunteer program (300+ roles across 20 Sections), and advances digital member engagement via the IMSA Intersect (Higher Logic) community and the IMSA Career Center.This position blends strategy and hands-on delivery—requiring a data driven, relationship centered leader who partners across teams to deliver measurable engagement growth and a best-in-class member experience.This is a first-level management role with cross functional leadership responsibilities and potential direct supervision of contractors, interns, or assigned staff.Key Responsibilities1) Membership & Engagement Strategy<ul><li>Build and execute multi-year strategies to grow engagement, retention, and satisfaction; analyze trends and member feedback to inform priorities and lifecycle journeys.</li><li>Partner with Marketing to design targeted acquisition/retention campaigns, value messaging, and onboarding pathways.</li><li>Establish and maintain engagement of KPIs and dashboards for leadership review (e.g., volunteer participation, retention, community activity, event conversion).</li></ul>2) Volunteer Program, Section and Board Leadership (300 roles | 20 Sections)<ul><li>Lead recruitment, retention, recognition, succession planning, and training for volunteer leaders and committees; manage AMS records and data quality.</li><li>Oversee volunteer interest and communicate accordingly to all department directors.</li><li>Design and deliver section leader development training (virtual and in person), knowledge transfer, and onboarding/offboarding processes for succession.</li><li>Plan and execute April Volunteer Appreciation Month campaigns and year-round recognition initiatives.</li></ul>3) Sections Governance & Compliance<ul><li>Ensure Section Charter compliance with IMSA bylaws and Governance Policy Manual; advise Section Officers on governance, operations, and engagement.</li><li>Produce the quarterly Section Signal with internal SMEs and Section leaders; coordinate leadership of Town Halls (agenda, panelists, logistics).</li><li>Lead structured Section leadership transitions and knowledge transfer processes.</li></ul>4) Committees, Awards & Scholarships<ul><li>Serve as staff liaison to the Awards and Scholarship Committees; manage full lifecycle (marketing, applications, review, selection, ceremonies) and governance records.</li><li>Responsible for Awards Ceremony program to include making recommendations on where/when to hold at the annual Forum, writing the script, and act as the staff liaison for the Awards Committee and ordering awards. </li></ul>5) Online Community & Platform Ownership<ul><li>Own engagement strategy for IMSA Intersect (Higher Logic): community journeys, automations, discussion moderation, content planning, and ambassador programs; integrate with marketing, sections, and career services to multiply impact.</li><li>Oversee IMSA Career Center (Web Scribble) and associated vendor relationships to drive member value and non-dues revenue opportunities.</li><li>Serve as “train the trainer” for staff/volunteer use of community and AMS platforms; segment data to personalize engagement and improve outcomes.</li><li>Implement surveys and qualitative feedback loops; apply insights to iterate programs and close engagement gaps (e.g., unanswered posts, onboarding friction).</li></ul>7) Budget & Administrative Leadership<ul><li>Responsible for submitting recommendations for the annual volunteer budget. </li><li>Prepare and manage annual engagement and volunteer budgets; forecast and track program ROI.</li><li>Coordinate and collect volunteer travel authorization workflows for the Executive Director and manage related documentation.</li></ul>8) People Leadership & Cross Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Lead cross department coordination on integrated initiatives with Marketing, Certification, Events, and IT; may supervise interns, contractors, or assigned staff.</li></ul>9) Risk & Standards<ul><li>Manage risk, data privacy, and confidentiality in line with organizational policies and industry standards.</li></ul>10) Council of Delegates & Leadership Support<ul><li>Serve as a primary point of contact for Delegates and Section Officers to access resources, governance documents, meeting preparation, and timely communications.</li></ul>QualificationsEducation & Experience<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or related field; or equivalent experience.</li><li>5+ years of progressively responsible experience in association membership, volunteer engagement, chapter/components support, or closely related fields; first level managerial or project lead experience preferred.</li></ul>Technical<ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft 365; Job Responsibilities: • Utilize appropriate strategies and problem-solving tools to make decisions regarding planning, utilization of federal, state, and/or county funds, delivery of services, and evaluation of services provided  (1 Corinthians 4:2) • Effectively and clearly provide information to supervisors, parents, teachers, and other professionals, and participate in long-range planning (1 Peter 5:2-3) • Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities as required by laws, district policies and administrative regulations (1 Corinthians 14:33) • Conduct an annual review of the program with recommended revisions, such as policies or procedures relating to the resource department • Maintain confidentiality regarding school and workplace matters (Proverbs 11:13) • Meet with public school personnel as necessary to coordinate efforts to implement plans for providing services to meet the needs of students • Manage and administer an appropriate program of instruction or support materials for students identified as having learning disabilities or other special needs • Act as a liaison to parents and teachers with regards to student concerns, academic and behavioral issues   • Provide parents and teachers with suggestions on how to be more effective with Specific Learning Disability students  • Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress, and hold conferences with parents concerning IEP’s, SP’s, or Service Plans • Prepare an Individual Education Plan (IEP), Student Plan (SP), or Service Plan for each child identified as having learning disabilities or other special needs, monitoring and updating plans as necessary • Employ special education strategies and techniques during instruction, demonstration, and work time that provide students with opportunities to observe, question and investigate • Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development and physical health    • Conduct an annual evaluation of the Admissions Placement tests that includes a report of the results of the tests administered during the year  • Determine which programs CCA should be a part of to comply with federal and state legislation • Assist in interpreting statutes, Department of Education rules, programs, policies and procedures of the school district as they relate to resource and meeting the needs of private school students with special needs • Serve as a resource and liaison to state and federal employees to coordinate administration of state and local services to CCA students during the school day • Coordinate the scheduling of the Reading Remediation, Strategic Intervention, and NILD or LIPS programs, communicating to the teachers and administration to ensure it is running effectively • Attend training sessions, professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence, to keep abreast of current practices, programs, and legal issues • Coordinate and administer mentor volunteer program, including screening volunteers and arranging student schedules to accommodate mentor tutoring • Work with the Curriculum Director to provide teachers with a variety of professional development opportunities, obtaining knowledge of regulations for using state and federally provided funds towards various professional development opportunities • Conduct an annual evaluation of the personnel in the Resource Department      • Coordinate the administration of hearing and vision screening for all interested students and schedule any necessary calibration or equipment as needed • Report the results of any administered hearing and vision screenings to parents  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23) Job Skills and Competencies:  • Education Level – Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (A Master’s Degree in Special Education is preferred) • Hold a minimum of an ACSI temporary teacher certification or be willing to participate in a program to complete the requirements for certification within a specified time period • Minimum of five years working in this field • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills  • Organization, administrative, and leadership skills (1 Corinthians 14:40)  Other
