We're proud of our more than 75-year commitment to protecting the livelihoods and futures of our client/members and creating an atmosphere where our employees thrive.What You'll Do:<ul><li>Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing cloud platform engineering team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.</li><li>Own the design, implementation, and day-to-day operation of enterprise hybrid cloud platforms that streamline and accelerate application delivery.</li><li>Define and enforce cloud architecture standards, patterns, and best practices that enable consistency and scalability.</li><li>Embed security, compliance, and regulatory requirements directly into cloud platforms through automated controls and standardized deployment pipelines.</li><li>Ensure platform reliability by managing availability, resiliency, service levels, and incident response processes.</li><li>Drive cloud financial excellence by overseeing budgets, FinOps practices, and ongoing cost optimization efforts.</li><li>Partner with business and IT leaders to align cloud strategy and platform roadmaps with enterprise priorities and engineering needs.</li><li>Lead complex, high-visibility initiatives such as cloud migrations, application modernization, and transitions to standardized cloud architectures.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 9+ years of relevant experience.</li><li>Demonstrated success leading technical teams in complex environments, particularly in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.</li><li>Deep expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and modern cloud development practices.</li><li>Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, observability, and resiliency principles.</li><li>Azure certifications (AZ‑900, AZ‑104, AZ‑204, AZ‑305) are preferred.</li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to connect technical solutions to meaningful business outcomes.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.</li><li>Reliable, regular attendance and a strong sense of accountability.</li></ul>What We Offer YouWhen you're on our team, you get more than a great paycheck. This role leads a team that manages the execution, monitoring, and optimization of data pipelines, analytics workloads, and ad-hoc data requests. The manager serves as a bridge between data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality data delivery for operational and strategic needs.Education & Experience Required: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience • U.S. Citizen • Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics operations, or related roles • 3+ years of experience formally leading data teams or managing data operations • Proficiency with SQL, Python, and at least one modern data platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) • Strong understanding ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, or similar) • Strong understanding of BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) • Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and data workflow automation concepts • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred: • Experience working in high volume data throughput environment with 24x7 processing • Experience with Healthcare data • Experience with Cloud based systems, preferably Azure • Knowledge of SQLServer and SnowflakeKey Responsibilities Operational Management • Oversee daily data operations, including job execution, monitoring, and incident response across cloud and on-prem platforms. • Maintain data pipelines that support enterprise reporting, dashboards, and analytics use cases. • Ensure reliability and timeliness of recurring data loads, extracts, and transformations. • Manage SLAs and uptime for data delivery across multiple systems and domains.Ad-Hoc Data Support • Coordinate and prioritize ad-hoc data and reporting requests from business units. • Ensure proper intake, tracking, and fulfillment of one-off or urgent data needs. • Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to balance ad-hoc and scheduled workloads. • Establish repeatable processes to convert frequent ad-hoc requests into automated or self-service solutions.Leadership & Team Development • Lead a team of data engineers and data analysts. • Provide mentoring, coaching, and performance management. • Foster collaboration between Operations, Engineering, and Analytics teams. • Promote a culture of ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.
