Summary The AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for volunteer recruitment, placement, on-boarding, management, and related activities that meet the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Program goals supporting older adults and fostering a culture of volunteerism. This is a grant-funded position with an expected end date of March 31, 2026, contingent upon continued funding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Implement all phases of the AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer program </li><li>Create successful recruitment and retainment strategy </li></ul>o Enroll 150 senior (aged 55+) unduplicated volunteers to the program o Demonstrate successful efforts to recruit a diverse volunteer population o Support the required background check process o Train volunteers in accordance with MOWRI expectations and best practices, including in use of MobileMeals app o Plan and execute volunteer appreciation and recognition events and activities <ul><li>Manage senior volunteers </li></ul>o Input volunteer data and maintain up to date records o Support scheduling of 150 senior volunteers statewide volunteer routes to ensure daily delivery route coverage o Ensure safe and inclusive volunteer station o Maintain open-door policy with volunteers and address any problems or concerns o Track and monitor volunteer participation o Assist with scheduling and support day to day volunteer needs <ul><li>Provides administrative and logistical support to a volunteer advisory committee that meets on a quarterly basis. </li><li>Provide administrative support for the annual volunteer satisfaction survey </li><li>Collect volunteer and outreach photos and stories for social media and marketing to support recruitment efforts and community engagement </li><li>Meet all AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer program requirements </li></ul>o Manage volunteer station in accordance with AmeriCorps Seniors program regulations & requirements o Monitor program progress against performance measures o Monitor and respond to all AmeriCorps related emails and communications o Complete reporting requirements o Complete all CNCS training requirements <ul><li>Attend community meetings or trainings as assigned </li><li>Participate in team meetings and special events </li></ul> Requirements Education and Experience • 1-3 years of project management in a nonprofit setting • Associate's degree or equivalent required • Volunteer or AmeriCorps experience, preferred • Clear results of a background and motor vehicle record check Work Environment Work is performed in a building and in the community. The noise level varies based on the location but is usually moderate and the environment is sometimes fast paced. Protocol for safety and security is a priority. Occasional work after normal business hours. Must be able to drive to other locations such as external meetings, within the state.
