p>Position Summary: Under the direction of the Horsemanship Program Administrator, the Animal Care Coordinator supervises Animal Care Team Members, oversees all stable operations including animal care and barn maintenance, and coordinates volunteers to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of barn operations. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Animal Care Coordinator to lead the daily care of our therapy animals while supervising stable operations and supporting a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
Coordinate and distribute Holiday Assistance (Including Thanksgiving food baskets, holiday assistance interview sessions, collection and distribution of Angel Tree tags and gifts, collection and distribution of Adopt-a-Family gifts, collection and distribution of Christmas food baskets, support Toy Shop set-up and distribution). Under general supervision of Social Services Manager, who in collaboration with Divisional Social Services and the Corps Officers assures that best practices are occurring in the workers intervention with clients.
p>Duties include directing administering, and managing all aspects of the program, including comprehensive planning, developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures; determining program needs; overseeing the type, quality and quantity of services provided; setting priorities; and establishing short- and long-range program goals, initiatives, and direction.
