Internship Overview <ul><li>This internship offers a reciprocal opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience for the student while contributing meaningfully to the mission of PB414. This role is centered on leading and creating excellent experiences for volunteer groups, especially during our high-volume summer season. </li><li>This experience is ideal for students interested in nonprofit leadership, communications, business, education, social work, ministry, or event management. </li><li>Location: Primarily at Thrift Out (Springdale), but there could be occasional time at Beautiful Lives Bentonville, Beautiful Lives Fayetteville, or Beautiful Lives Siloam Springs. </li><li>Schedule and time commitment:<ul><li>We are currently accepting applications for the fall internship terms. <ul><li>Flexible schedule of 5-15 hours per week </li><li>Ideal start date: August 17 - to be determined upon acceptance of this offer </li></ul></li></ul></li><li>Reports to: Thrift Out Volunteer Coordinator </li></ul>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Group Facilitation<ul><li>Help lead and facilitate volunteer groups </li><li>Welcome groups and provide a clear, engaging orientation </li><li>Communicate instructions, assign tasks, and keep groups on track </li><li>Create a positive, organized, and mission-driven experience for each group </li><li>Adapt as needed to group size, pace, and daily needs </li></ul></li><li>Volunteer Experience Support<ul><li>Assist with onboarding and volunteer experience </li><li>Help ensure spaces and projects are prepared in advance of group arrivals </li><li>Observe and identify ways to improve the volunteer experience </li></ul></li><li>Operations Support<ul><li>Work alongside volunteers on tasks </li><li>Reset and prepare spaces between volunteer groups </li><li>Track attendance and note any key feedback, wins, or challenges </li></ul></li><li>Initial training/shadowing provided, with increasing independence over time </li></ul>Interns at Purpose Brands 414 have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. Our organization offers comprehensive services, including a residential program that provides a safe and nurturing environment for women and children in crisis. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Food Services Coordinator to manage our food services program and ensure that our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals.The Food Services Coordinator will oversee all aspects of food services within our residential program. This role involves planning, coordinating, and managing meal services to meet the nutritional needs of our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service management, a strong understanding of nutrition, and a commitment to providing exceptional care for those we serve.Responsibilities could include:Meal Planning: Develop and implement nutritious meal plans that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents, including accommodating special dietary requirements and allergies.Food Preparation: Oversee the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that food is prepared safely and in accordance with health and hygiene standards. Manage kitchen and volunteers involved in food preparation.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment. Order and purchase food and supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and minimizing waste.Budget Management: Manage the food services budget, tracking expenses and ensuring that spending aligns with financial guidelines. Prepare reports on food services expenditures and program efficiency.Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations and guidelines. Implement and monitor sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.Resident Engagement: Engage with residents to understand their food preferences and dietary needs. Provide educational resources on nutrition and healthy eating as part of a holistic approach to their care.Program Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the food services program. Solicit feedback from residents and staff to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.Catering: Provide catering services to meetings, events and other business-related needs for the CFAC.Qualifications:- Must possess a ServSafe certification or be able to obtain one within 30 days of starting employment.- Proven experience in food service management, including meal planning, food preparation, and inventory management.
