For our services, we have been recognized as one of the nation's top 100 performing home health agencies by HomeCare Elite.Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li style="line-height:normal;vertical-align:baseline">Valid Driver's License and Current Auto Insurance</li><li>Ability to successfully pass pre-employment driver record, criminal, adult and child abuse background check/review required</li></ul> Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Volunteer functions encompass those tasks, duties, and responsibilities that are critical and fundamental to the volunteer position and comprise the means of accomplishing the job's purpose and objectives. </li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Assists team with patient care in accordance with the plan of care.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Provides needed services to patients/families and as outlined in the Hospice Volunteer Handbook (e.g. companionship, shopping, respite, etc.)</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Makes a time commitment of 2-4 hours each week as schedule permits.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Provides notification when a substitute is needed.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Uses listening skills effectively to provide emotional support to the patient/family.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Reports and/or records any changes in the patient's condition or environment to the Hospice Volunteer Services Coordinator, case manager, or other appropriate team member.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Provides accurate, timely, and objective documentation of volunteer activity.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Submits annual mandatory paper to maintain active status as a volunteer.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Attends scheduled rehearsals and assigned bed-side or community presentations (if applicable)</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Is able to demonstrate competency requirements and attends educational in-services and workshops as schedule permits.</li><li style="line-height:15pt;background:#ffffff">Accountable for and expected to integrate VNAHSR's HEALTH Matters values into the execution of the essential functions of their volunteer work. </li></ul>

<h2>Overview</h2>Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is looking for a Volunteer Services Coordinator to join our team! The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of a robust and engaging Volunteer Program for Copley Hospital. The Volunteer Coordinator will source, recruit, orient, and train new adult and junior volunteers.  This position is Full-Time (PT available). Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Per Diem needs. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Manage Copley’s Volunteer Program</li><li>Source, recruit, orient, and train new adult and junior volunteers</li><li>Promote Copley’s Volunteer Program through articles, outreach, presentations, social media, website, etc.</li><li>Provide in-service training for existing volunteers</li><li>Oversee the scheduling and staffing of all volunteer positions within the hospital</li><li>Create and manage the Volunteer database and track volunteer hours for hospital recognition, the Retired Volunteer Service Program (RVSP), and school community service programs</li><li>Engage community groups and school guidance counselors to solicit volunteers</li><li>Work with Department Leaders to develop volunteer positions</li><li>Ensure Volunteers are satisfied by creating a healthy and rewarding working environment</li><li>Evaluate Volunteers’ work and provide constructive feedback</li><li>Organize recognition for Volunteers during National Volunteer Week</li><li>Plan annual volunteer recognition banquet and awards program</li><li>Serve as a liaison between the Hospital and the Auxiliary</li><li>Attend Auxiliary Board Meetings</li><li>Participate in both Auxiliary and Hospital fund raising events</li><li>Assist the Development and Marketing Department with community relations activities</li><li>Attend Hospital Leadership Meetings</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul><li>High School Diploma - Required</li><li>BA/BS in relevant field (Healthcare, Human Services, Organizational Leadership) - Desired</li></ul>
