OVERVIEW:Girls on the Run Minnesota (GOTR MN) prepares 3rd-8th grade girls and gender-expansive youth for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living by using an experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. We are currently seeking youth board members between the ages of 14-21 to provide unique perspective and experience.THE BOARD:The Board of Directors is an oversight body responsible for advising, guiding, governing, and promoting GOTR MN to support the organization's mission and impact. Board members will actively participate in strategic planning, organizational expansion, and fundraising. When youth serve on our Board of Directors, they bring their lived experiences to the active process of decision-making as they help raise issues, vote, advocate, and critique the policies, processes, and programs that serve them and their peers.PRIORITIES:First and foremost, we are seeking applicants who have a passion for the Girls on the Run mission and vision. Prior volunteer experience and prior GOTR participation are preferred but not required.
