Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; to see in the normal range with or without correction; to hear in the normal range with or without correction; verbal communication; and use of engineering and office equipment, including computer, telephone, calculator, copiers, and FAX. Under general supervision, perform a variety of advanced technical and paraprofessional office and field engineering work for the Engineering Departments services, activities, and functions; prepare plans, designs, and specifications for a variety of City projects; review work prepared by outside consultants; prepare engineering reports; and perform related work as required.
